If you receive a set of documents for a signing on the 3rd that are dated the 5th - the documents must be redrawn or the appointment rescheduled. You cannot sign and notarize them on the 3rd and date them the 5th - this is called POST-DATING and is illegal! If you receive a set of documents for a signing on the 5th and you are told they are date sensitive but they are dated the 3rd you cannot sign and notarize them using the date of the 3rd - this is called BACKDATING and is illegal! |
