Call the client!!!   If the client authorizes a change: write down time, date, and to whom you spoke with authorizing the change, and what changes you are being directed to make. Be sure to write a memo to the file addressing the changes you were instructed to make and all the other information. Include a copy of this memo with the package going back, fax it to your client, notate it in your journal and keep it on file with the signing order. Normally, it is best to change the note date to match the mortgage/deed of trust date. It is best to make as few as possible corrections to the recording documents.
