Refer back to your specific state statutes or notary division. In most instances, as long as ID can be made, the notary act can be completed with certain provisions. These provisions are not all inclusive but may require either presenting the terms and conditions of the document being notarized or the complete reading of the document to the signer. Be very careful in handling these, some states require an additional statement made by the notary that the document has been read to the signer. Notate this in your notary journal. |
