Victoria Lynn Rivera was born in Memphis, Tennessee and lived most of her life in Memphis or the surrounding area. Victoria is known for her CAN-DO attitude and has by some been called a "Pit Bull" for what she believes in.

Victoria graduated from Horn Lake High School in Horn Lake, Mississippi in 1975, served in the United States Marine Corps from 1976 - 1989. Upon receiving her Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps, Victoria went back to school at Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, North Carolina and Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Mississippi graduating with her Associates in Applied Science in Paralegal Technology, 1992 and in Accounting Technology, 1993, with honors after three moves, her husband being sent into the Persian Gulf during the Gulf War and going through a major surgery on his right lung to remove the upper lobe. While in college she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Beta Lambda.

Upon graduation, Victoria moved to Panama City, Florida, because after spending most of her adult life on the coast of North Carolina, she was used to having sand between her toes. While working for a Private Investigator/Fire Investigator, Victoria had the opportunity to learn about and begin working in the Loan Document Signing Industry in 1996. Victoria has watched this industry continue to grow by leaps and bounds especially after Susan and Scott Pense founded the National Association of Signing Agents (NASA) in January 2000. Since February 2002, with the National Notary Association taking the helm, there has been an even greater influx of new people joining the ranks of this industry and need for this book. This need has grown rapidly. There are many schools of thought on how we conduct a signing; the need to understand the documents and the process is even greater and essential in conducting a successful signing. Victoria has been recognized by her peers in receiving NASA's Signing Agent of the Month September 2000 Award and as NASA's Signing Agent of the Year 2000 Award. Victoria is also active in the state of Florida with the Florida Mobile Notary Association. Victoria has also received recognition by the National Notary Association 2004 Special Honoree
